Nestled against Saguaro National Park with Sombrero Peak as a backdrop, this site boasts spectacular natural beauty. The homeowners embraced the site’s diverse plant palette, and Wilder brought the desert right up to the house using a combination of nursery grown plants and seeding. Rock salvaged from the construction area was scattered randomly and sparsely to mimic the natural groundcover.  Roof runoff flows into a buried cistern which supplies the irrigation system designed for plant establishment (the hardy site-local plants will be removed from irrigation after 3-5 years).
