The Teatro Carmen is located within Barrio Viejo, a racially and culturally diverse neighborhood which is receiving the National Historic Landmark designation this year (2023). Wilder, working with Poster Mirto McDonald, is helping to revitalize the 106-year-old historic theatre. The new outdoor patio space will accommodate dining and live events. Wilder developed schematic design plans and renderings which helped to procure funding. Construction documentation included site grading, planting, and irrigation. Under Wilder’s guidance, this new old space in the Barrio will be teaming with native plants and people enjoying the beauty of the Sonoran Desert in the heart of downtown.
